In that one moment all paths merged into one. No past. No future. No journey getting here. No journey remaining to get somewhere else. Quietly, with such simple ease, my heart sighed. I knew I had not returned home. I had become home. All that had come before and all that awaits will find an open door and the welcome mat of Now.
I will not change the name, it is indeed precious. But in that one moment when the heart sighed, the whisper was heard, "Affirmed Affirming Healing."

First Migration
First migration! First migration..... first migration. If only computer typed words could sing the song of my heart to see the first dance of geese across the sky, silhouettes against the rising sun as I began an early morning walk. Sigh... if only you could know this simple childlike heart that stood breathless to watch. First migration, the return home. The call in their hearts that lift their wings and the journey begins.
I have walked the seasons, counting not years, but the rhythm and dance of seasons as they turn the pages of my life. Sometimes the rhythm leaves dog eared pages turned down to remember or threads dangling as bookmarks. As their dance carried them beyond my eyes, the sun drew my eyes to see the green leaf covered in morning dew. The green of spring's kiss glimmering in the sun. Next week is autumn's equinox yet spring continued to bathe a leaf.
Just beyond the glistening drops of spring's kiss the sun painted what was to come. Against the yellow of autumn, shawled with the red of fire and life, the grass created a shadow of fall's naked dancing tree. Spring and summer's luminous kiss against the rhythm of fall dancing onto the stage.
First migration. The call to journey home. Spring's kiss and autumn's naked fiery dance. Another page turned. Another threaded bookmark. And a whispered prayer to all who might see and maybe even to feel this morning reverie, 'Lift your wings. Dance lightly onto the stage. May your heart rejoice in the rhythm with the assurance, she knows the way Home.'

Inviting
The phrase "inviting heart" is rattling around sending the threads in my heart and mind flying like dandelion puffs caught in the wind.
My mother was a true southern woman when it came to hospitality. Effortlessly she would make any guest feel as if they were literally welcome to sit with their feet on the coffee table in their underwear if they so desired - and burp out loud, if so inclined. And yet, our greatest fear was a house fire and getting out in time - every door double locked and fastened and windows with broom handles in the window sill - she was terrified of someone breaking in.
An inviting heart..... asking in, receiving, welcoming, making the other comfortable and "at home" or better than home, turning no one away, accepting, providing food, quenching the other's thirst, conversation, sharing, laughter, hugs, silence that is comfortable with tears and words not requiring a voice, a washing away of all that you carried in and bathing you in the moments of now, surrounded with effortless grace and open arms, putting your feet on the coffee table as you sit in your underwear and burp - or even take a nap. An inviting heart whispering, "whoever, whatever you are, come in and take of all I have."
And if Life has given us the capacity to have such a heart...do we dare, can we even imagine what the invitation must read like, from Life's inviting heart, signed wistfully with
