Moving Day

Moving day.  I have watched the squirrels gather twigs and scamper off to the nests they must be building. I have watched the quilted clouds pull back the covers and play peek-a-boo with the blue sky.  I have sat and given thanks for this sacred space where my scriches have posted. I have given thanks to you who have stopped to read. You have been the rhythm of nature for my little heart and I am graced.

As I move my little musings to their new home I leave a poem by Mary Oliver. May it be my little blessing for each of you.  If you ever should pause and wonder what difference you make in life, be assured your question has been profoundly answered by the grace and kindness you have gifted me. With a deep bow, my hands to my heart thank you.

A new Facebook page has been created: https://www.facebook.com/whispered.grace. My hope is that you will share your own simple joys and whispers. Yes, please.
My simple little musings will now post to http://www.whisperedgracebook.com/. If you have subscribed by email, you can do so there as well.

Moving day….. the journey continues.

Wild Geese

You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees
for a hundred miles through the desert, repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body love what it loves.
Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you mine.
Meanwhile the world goes on.
Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain
are moving across the landscapes,
over the prairies and the deep trees,
the mountains and the rivers.
Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air,
are heading home again.
Whoever you are, no matter how lonely,
the world offers itself to your imagination,
calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting-
over and over announcing your place
in the family of things.

Affirmed Affirming Healing

In that one moment all paths merged into one. No past. No future. No journey getting here. No journey remaining to get somewhere else. Quietly, with such simple ease, my heart sighed.  I knew I had not returned home. I had become home. All that had come before and all that awaits will find an open door and the welcome mat of Now.

I will not change the name, it is indeed precious. But in that one moment when the heart sighed, the whisper was heard, "Affirmed Affirming Healing."

Clouds of Dawn

Oh the sky is amazing this morning. The sun's path is changing. It has moved from the hill crest and is hidden behind the trees. But its light has created a halo in the sky. Little wispy clouds are floating across and are in the spotlight. The bottoms of the clouds are glowing yellow and then their color fades into a darker white. Just to the left a slightly larger cloud leads the way. Giggle, a mother elephant followed by the baby. The mother is outside the dome of the halo and stands stark white against the already blue sky of day, no longer sunrise. To watch the little one pass through the dome of light and become simply white upon blue, an amazing sight to see the passing and transition. The dome now stands empty of clouds, waiting for the next one to pass through and be touched. It is even tinier than the first and its whole being is illuminated with the dome's light. I know probably silly, but the imagery takes my breath. The larger cloud sits, untouched by the wind, waiting for the others to pass through and join it against the day's sky blue. And such shall be my day. Touched by brilliant light, stillness and dance, the mystery of transition, my breath creating the shapes and movement of the day.

Unbarred Fierceness

So many have felt the power of nature. Her wind, water, earth, and fire. Today may my heart unleash an even greater force. To give honor to the devastation with the inviolable unbarred fierceness of hope.

To Turn the Page

Sometimes in the vastness of everything, the comings and goings, the doings and demands, the texture of life can get lost.  A child will always make a bee line for the lake’s water with a frantic parent running behind calling their name.  An elderly person walking slowly with their four legged child speaking quietly and if you look you’ll see such softness in their eyes. The leaves, caught in autumn’s breeze dance and prepare to take flight only to crash against a metal fence. You can almost see, in their pause, their bewilderment, having taken flight, and then they rest upon the ground, content.

So much life in front of us, and in Life’s infinity, never an end. There is no hand that writes “The End” only the gentle touch that turns the page and continues to whisper the next chapter. Winter is coming, and all retreat inside. The season of reflection and quiet.  Would that we carry the winter’s rhythm each day and see the textures of Life and Love.  Maybe, I wonder, if we did, the hurts and sorrows we cause or suffer might diminish …. Having learned to see Life’s little things, to turn the page.…the true tapestry of Life….Love.

A Life

Emotions, the body and other's choices are but teachers we reflect upon, learn from and then move on.  Death, either of the body, intent or the spirit is not an option for everything transitions from one state to another.  Quitting, ceasing, or putting on hold are like death in that they are not options either.  Essence will transition - the choice is Now...or when.

To stare down eye to eye the charnled ground, affirms the power of choice.  The Essence of Now - to BE more than just Alive ...... To BE A Life.

Texture of release

"Pursue, keep up with, circle round and round your life as a dog does his master's chase. Do what you love. Know your own bone; gnaw at it, bury it, unearth it, and gnaw it still. Do not be too moral. You may cheat yourself out of much life so. Aim above morality.  Be not simply good - be good for something.  All fables indeed have their morals, but the innocent enjoy  the story.

Let nothing come between you and the light.  Respect men as brothers only.  When you travel to the celestial city, carry no letter of introduction.  When you knock ask to see God - none of the servants. "

Henry David Thoreau

Saying 'Hello' Before You Leave- "It's Time to Ride"

Everyone has left but family. You are ready. I will leave this here, before you leave, to honor the precious being you are and celebrate what will be. No need to write in past tense, you are ready to become, again. And when the news came, I kept the promise and laughed.  I did not, however, promise what I would do after the laughter.

What will you choose my friend? You had been undecided.  Will you decide to take the rocket ship or make your grand entrance upon angel’s wings?  I found another laugh, to think, knowing you, you found yet another option.  Perhaps a rocket ship steered with high powered angel’s wings.  And such a grand entrance it will be I am sure.

You will begin your new journey.  Each of us will begin our own.  You will no longer be bound, restricted, free from all that tried to hold you back.  You will change into such beautiful light like the sun that knows not skin, tissue or bone and fills every cell, igniting within the brilliance from without.  But know this my friend, the person you are has likewise changed so many others and ignited within each the spark you give from without.  With soft soft eyes, ‘Well done Annie, my friend.’

Maybe a rocket ship, maybe angel’s wings, maybe a rocket ship with angel’s wings.  Or, perhaps, like the hummingbird that sent my spirit into such blissful joy this morning.  Thanks for the flyby my friend. Thanks for the whisper, ‘Tis time to ride….. watch me fly!’

Namaste.

"I went sky diving, I went rocky mountain climbing,
"I went two point seven seconds on a bull named Fu Man Chu.
"And I loved deeper and I spoke sweeter,
"And I gave forgiveness I'd been denying."
An' he said: "Some day, I hope you get the chance,
"To live like you were dyin'."

Like tomorrow was a gift,
And you got eternity,
To think about what you’d do with it.
An' what did you do with it?
An' what can I do with it?
An' what would I do with it?
-Tim McGraw “Live Like You Were Dying”
